Cream Dream: White and Off-White Barefoot Boots

October 17, 2023
Cream, white and off-white barefoot boots

Keep your feet comfortable and your boots on trend this season with white and off-white barefoot boots!

White and off-white boots have been trending for the last few years, and thankfully, a lot barefoot shoe brands have joined in. They’re a nice way to keep it neutral and also lighten up a look, especially compared to the more traditional black and brown boots. There are so many white and off-white barefoot boots to choose from, I thought I’d highlight a few of my favorites. It’s always a win-win when you can prioritize foot health and comfort and still keep your style fresh and updated.

Most of these boots are best for mild winter weather in that they’re not fully waterproof, and white can be much harder to keep clean. To protect your boots, I recommend treating with a waterproofing spray for suede or leather.

The sizing recommendations are all based off of my 23.3 cm foot measurement. I’m typically an EU38/US7.5 in tennis shoes, but sometimes I’ll size up to an EU39/US 8 for boots, depending on the brand.

White and Off-white Barefoot Boots

1 Lems Telluride Boots

Widest Lems Toe Box | 11 mm sole + 3.5 mm insole | zero-drop | $145

The Telluride Boot is Lem’s newest style, with soft suede uppers and faux fur lining around the collar. To prep for winter, add a water-repellant treatment like one from Nikwax.

The Telluride Boot uses Lem’s widest fit last, so it’s really roomy in the toes. These are also one of the cushier options when it comes to minimalist boots; they have a 1mm stack height plus a 3.5mm removable insole. Even with the thicker stack height, these boots are very lightweight thanks to the use or air injection rubber. They use the same outsole as the Primal Zen

Sizing: I’m a size 7.5 in the Zen sneakers and opted for a size 8 in these boots to leave room for thicker socks.

2 Vivobarefoot Gobi Boots

$200 | Code KELLY10 for 10% off

I love that the new Gobi boots provide a chunky look while still offering a lightweight and flexible sole. The boots come in black, dark brown, and limestone, but the limestone is available in women’s sizing only. It’s like a greige, with the tone leaning a bit cool (more light grey than cream).

The uppers are unlined wild hide leather; it’s so soft and flexible. That said, these are best for fall or mild winters. Vivo just released a winterized version of the Gobi boot with a faux shearling lining (unforunately no off-white, but they do have a beautiful caramel color)

Sizing: I’m wearing these in my regular size, and EU38. These are unlined, so there was no need to size up.

3 Shapen Fluffy Boots

€149 | Code BFSHOEGUIDE5 for 5% off

These Shapen Fluffy boots use a beautiful off-white suede for the uppers and are fully lined with the softest faux fur! They’re a great replacement for a pair of Ugg-type boots. Like the Shapen Cozy that I wore all last winter, these are lightweight, really flexible, and really warm. The outsole has a dot pattern to give it some grip, but these don’t have deep lugs specifically designed for traction, so they’re not the best option in icy conditions.

Sizing: I opted for these in my typical shoe size of EU38, and had plenty of room, even with the extra lining. I wear an EU37 in Shapen tennis shoes, so generally I find it best to go one size down from my typical size for Shapen boots and shoes.

4 Wildling Perto Wool High-Tops

$139 | For free shipping, use code AWN_ BAREFOOTSHOEGUIDE

Wildling’s winter line heavily features wool uppers, including the cream-colored Perto high-tops. If you came here from my video, I featured the Mundača from a few years ago. Wildling shoes are like a slipper meets a combat boot with water-resistant uppers, integrated membrane and wool lining. All Wildlings have similar styling and are incredibly soft and flexible.

5 FeelBarefoot Chelsea Boots on Etsy

$125 | Code KELLY50 for 50% of retail

Feelbarefoot shoes are minimalist leather boots and shoes handmade in Turkey. The Feelbarefoot Chelsea Boots are a great option for dressier barefoot shoes. The leather sole gives them a dressier vibe than options with a pure rubber sole, but you can also add the additional 2mm rubber outsole to make these work better for wet weather. They feature an elastic side panel for easy on and off. The Chelsea boots look great pair with both pants and dresses/skirts.

I love them in this cream color, but they do have a ton of other colors to choose from! Read a full review of the Feelbarefoot brand here.
