2025 Trendy Sneakers from Barefoot Shoe Brands

Discover the trendiest barefoot sneakers of 2025—stylish, foot-friendly alternatives inspired by this year’s hottest sneaker trends. Stay comfy without sacrificing style!
Comfort and foot health comes first—always. But even the most dedicated barefoot shoe fans (myself included) still like to stay with the times when it comes to sneaker style. In 2024, I highlighted some of the trendiest styles (think Nike Dunks and Adidas Sambas), but fashion is always evolving. Retro, colorful sneakers are still going strong, but we’re also seeing some new players take the spotlight.
I’ve been in Los Angeles most of the past month, which is one of the best places for trendspotting, especially when it comes to sneakers. I noticed a major uptick in people rocking Onitsuka Tigers, Puma Speedcats, and chunkier New Balance models like the 9060. While some of these trends translate well into the barefoot shoe world, others—especially the ultra-chunky ones—can be a bit trickier to replicate. That said, some new brands have given it a go, and I’m impressed!
Barefoot shoe brands are already drawing inspiration from these popular styles, and a few newer names are carving out their own unique look.
Let’s take a look at the trendiest barefoot sneakers for 2025—and how you can stay stylish and comfortable.
**Note: I’m just starting this list as we’re at the beginning of 2025, and barefoot shoe brands are just starting to release their new sneakers. I’ll be adding to it as I try out more shoes this year!

Sizing reference
For most of these shoes, I’ll provide a sizing reference based on my experience with the fit. Read more on measuring your feet for barefoot shoes here.
I’m most often a US7.5/EU38 in my barefoot sneakers and casual shoes. My feet are medium (‘B’) width and measure 23.3cm long with a higher instep and narrower ankle. I typically look for shoes with an extra 1.2cm of space.
Features of Barefoot Sneakers
All the shoes featured here have a natural foot-shaped, with the widest point at the toes. The soles are thin, flat and flexible.

Trendy Barefoot Sneakers in 2025
Let’s jump right in! If you’re looking for the most up-to-date sneakers in the barefoot shoe world, start here!
Saguaro Dash Sneakers
Mesh and Microfiber Uppers | $61 | Code KELLY15 for 15% off | Shop Saguaro

The Onitsuka Tigers seem to be the sneaker of the moment, so the barefoot shoe heavily inspired by these had to take the first spot. The Saguaro Shoes Dash have sold out multiple times, so I’m just hoping they restock. Saguaro Shoes is an affordable barefoot shoe brand, and with my code KELLY15, you can grab these for about $50. The Dash sneakers feature mesh and microfiber uppers on some, with canvas and microfiber on others. They come in several bright and bold colorwarys. The soles are flat and flexible, and I find them true to size (that’s an EU38 for me).
Xero Shoes Wynn Sneakers
Nylon and Suede Uppers | Prices start at $181 | Shop Xero Shoes

These are easily one of my favorite pairs of Xero Shoes ever. Personally, I think they’re one of their best designs—and as someone who spent a few years wearing the New Balance 574s, these feel like the perfect barefoot-friendly throwback.
They’ve got that same retro runner vibe with a casual, wear-everywhere look, but with all the barefoot features we love: zero drop, flexible sole, and a roomy toe box. The nylon and suede uppers feel durable yet lightweight, and they strike that rare balance between sporty and stylish. I love the white and grey color way with maroon accents, but they have darker versions too. If you’re looking for a barefoot sneaker that nails the classic athletic aesthetic, the Wynn is it. I’m wearing a size US7.5, which is my usually size for Xero.
Dolphie Paradise Supersonice NFS
Leather and Suede | €195 | Shop Dolphie

These are being shipped to me as I type this, so this initial mention is purely based on aesthetics… for now. Once I try them out, I’ll update with more thoughts.
Dolphie Paradise might be new to barefoot shoes, but they’re definitely not new to designing cool, classic sneakers. After years as a conventional shoe brand, they made a full transition—completely redesigning their styles to feature wide toe boxes, zero-drop construction, and flexible soles.
What I love most is that they’ve kept their own unique design point of view, though if you’re trying to get that New Balance chunky sneaker look, I think these fit the bill! They bring serious style cred and experience to the barefoot world, and it shows.
Blusun 200
Nubuck and Suede leather uppers | €140 | Code KELLY10 for 10% off | Shop Blusun

The Adidas Samba felt like *the* sneaker of 2024, and it looks like they’ll still be one of most popular options throughout 2024–especially in bright, bold colors. Blusun is fully on board with that trend, with colors like hot pinks, brilliant blues, and this beautiful green. But don’t worry, if you’re into neutrals, they have that too. The Blusun brand may be new in 2024, but it was launched by a pair of barefoot shoe industry veterans. All of the shoes feel incredibly well-made, and have super flexible soles. These sneakers fit narrower, lower volume feet best. I opted for an EU37. They fit well length-wise, but as they have a narrower fit, I might’ve been better off opting for a size up for more width and volume.
